Rest in the Moment

Today I celebrate life, 53 years of them, hopefully at least 47 more… I would like to live to 100.  Maybe to see my boys mature into vibrant men of this world, maybe to experience all I can before this breath of a life catapults me into the next one.  Maybe at 100 years old I won’t be doing much catapulting…

Either way I am at peace… at rest.  I often say to people as I depart from them, “Rest in Peace!”  I don’t usually get a favorable response, wonder why?  What other rest is there?  Oh yeah… the ones the world offers us, fear… stress… worry… frustration… anger… we know the rest of them.

I would rather rest in peace… and calm, relaxation, comfort, harmony, serenity, tranquility… right now… right here!

I have found it, I have found Him… and if I don’t drift too far away, I can get back there pretty quick.  There’s no place like home…
